Adult virtual intensive outpatient care

Substance Use IOP

Recovery guided by experience, with structure for everyday life.

What we work on together

Recovery guided by experience

Led by Jolene Walls, LPC, LAC, this five-week virtual program provides structured, evidence-based treatment for adults seeking recovery from alcohol or other substance use. Care addresses trauma, cravings, recurrence risk, relationships, and the brain-and-body patterns that can sustain addiction.

  • Three 3-hour evening groups each week plus weekly individual therapy
  • ASAM-informed assessment, recovery planning, and relapse prevention
  • Trauma-informed DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and practical neuroscience
  • Trigger and craving work, whole-person recovery, accountability support, and substance-use screening when clinically appropriate

Access from your community

Structured care, without the drive.

Our virtual model serves adults across Colorado, including rural and Western Slope communities outside the Denver metro. You can participate from a private space with a reliable internet connection.

Insurance and program fit

Medicaid and many insurance plans are accepted. Coverage depends on your specific plan, benefits, authorization requirements, and program eligibility. Statewide virtual access does not mean every plan is covered in every location. Please call so we can review your situation.

IOP offers a step up from weekly outpatient care. An assessment helps determine whether this level of support is appropriate or whether another service is needed.

Adults listening and connecting in a small evening virtual support group

What virtual group can feel like

You can be private without being alone.

Many people arrive wondering whether a virtual group will feel awkward, exposed, or impersonal. A well-led small group can become something very different: a place to recognize yourself in another person’s experience, practice new skills in real time, and discover that you do not have to perform recovery by yourself.

You control what you share. Connection is invited—never forced.
